The Dartmoor Learning Cycle©: From Engagement to Autonomy
At Dartmoor Personalised Learning, we believe that education is not a "one-size-fits-all" delivery, but a structured journey toward independence. Our provision is built upon the Dartmoor Learning Cycle©, a proprietary five-stage pedagogical framework designed to deconstruct barriers and rebuild cognitive stamina.
Whether we are supporting a young person through a period of educational instability, assisting an adult in a career transition, or advising a Local Authority on systemic provision, our mission remains the same: to move from Connection to Autonomy.
We offer three distinct, personalised pathways. Each is managed with the operational rigour of PRINCE2® project management and the clinical insight of Senior SEND Leadership, ensuring that every hour of intervention is purposeful, measurable, and aligned with long-term goals.

Commissioning & Strategic Intake
The selection of an educational pathway is a clinical decision based on the learner’s current stability, EHCP outcomes, and long-term goals for autonomy. To ensure the most effective alignment between our methodology and the learner’s profile, we operate a structured intake process.
Initial Strategic Diagnostic
All new individual casework begins with a Strategic Diagnostic & Roadmap Session (£50). This 30-minute consultation allows for a high-level review of the learner’s history and current barriers. Following this session, a formal Pathway Recommendation will be issued, outlining the proposed stabilisation cycle or academic framework.
Professional & Statutory Enquiries
For Local Authorities, schools, or organisations seeking to commission "Hard-to-Reach" re-engagement or EOTAS provision, please contact us to arrange a Commissioning Briefing.
The Three Strategic Pathways
Every engagement at Dartmoor Personalised Learning is mapped to one of three professional pathways.
Each follows our proprietary Connect | Understand | Practice | Apply | Reflect framework to ensure measurable progress and statutory compliance.
Pathway 01: Specialist Youth Intervention (Ages 11–25)
Stabilisation | Academic Re-engagement | EHCP Alignment
This pathway is designed for learners requiring a high-intensity, bespoke alternative to traditional schooling. We focus on rebuilding educational confidence and delivering core curriculum targets within a SEND-informed environment.
Focus: Intensive one-to-one or small-group (one-to-three) support.
Investment: £50 per hour (per learner).
Pathway 02: Adult Professional Re-engagement (Ages 19+)
Cognitive Skill-Building | Vocational Readiness | Digital Autonomy
A sophisticated framework for adults navigating career transitions or returning to education. We focus on rebuilding the fundamental cognitive architecture and digital literacy required for the modern workplace.
Focus: Moving from educational hesitation to functional, professional independence.
Investment: £50 per hour.
Pathway 03: Institutional Commissioning & Systemic Oversight
School Advisory | LA Provision | Educational Project Management
Strategic support for schools, Academy Trusts, other commissioning organisations and Local Authorities. This pathway covers complex casework, EOTAS provision, and high-level consultancy to ensure statutory obligations and educational excellence are met at a systemic level.
Focus: Full-day or half-day strategic blocks.
Investment: £750 full day / £400 half day. £100 per hour outside of full or half days, and 45p per mile travel costs (where appropriate).
